Who we are
Care For Indians connects Indian families living abroad with caregivers — tutors, child-care providers, meal-service cooks and health carers.
What we collect
- Account details: name, email, hashed password or Google sign-in profile, and your role.
- Listing details (caregivers): category, city/country, languages, skills, rate, about text, availability, services and optional photo.
- Verification documents (caregivers, optional): government ID, reference letters and contacts, background details, consent to a background check.
- Messages, interview bookings, reviews, favourites, waitlist entries, reports/blocks and feedback.
- Technical data: device type, app version and approximate location derived from the city you choose.
How we use it
- To run the service: listings, nearby ranking, chat, Zoom interviews and transactional emails.
- To keep the community safe: review reports, act on blocks, suspend accounts that break our guidelines.
- To improve the product with your feedback. We never sell personal data or use it for third-party advertising.
What other members can see
Families see caregiver listing details, badges, availability, reviews and active status. Caregivers see a family's name and photo in chat. Emails, phone numbers, ID documents and reference letters are never shown to other members.
Storage & security
Encrypted databases and object storage; files served only to authorised users; passwords hashed with bcrypt; sessions expire automatically.
Third parties
Zoom (video interviews), Resend (email), Google (optional sign-in), Open-Meteo (geocoding), CountriesNow (city lists) — each receives only what it needs.
Your rights
Delete your account and data any time from Profile → Delete account in the app. Email us for access, correction or export requests. Opt out of waitlist emails by replying "unsubscribe".
Children
The service is for adults (18+). Children may not create accounts.
